KNOW ABOUT THEMATIC APPERCEPTION TEST IN PSYCHOLOGY DEFINITION

Assesses personality. The Thematic Apperception Test is an untimed, in my view administered psychological test used for character assessment. Suitable for ages 14-40, it is used to discover dominant drives, feelings, and conflicts, as well as ranges of emotional maturity, observational skills, imagination, and creativity. The problem is shown a series of pics, one after the other, and requested to make up a tale about each one, and his or her responses are evaluated by using a trained psychologist. The check is normally given in sessions, with 10 snap shots shown in every one. Sessions are untimed but generally final about an hour. (For children ages three-10, see Children’s Apperception Test.)
