Organization of faculty psychologists and related professionals, with participants inside the United States and 25 different countries. The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has over 21,000 contributors from the USA and overseas. Founded in 1969, NASP is devoted to serving the mental health and educational needs of faculty age children and teenagers. Members are faculty psychologists or specialists in associated fields. The association encourages expert development and offers guides, meetings, workshops, and seminars for its members, and keeps a useful resource library and a placement carrier for school psychologists.

In addition, NASP performs an activist function on behalf of school-age youngsters, issuing function statements and resolutions to its membership, the general public, and government officials at all stages on such issues as violence in media and toys; legislative priorities; advocacy for appropriate instructional offerings for all children; corporal punishment; and racism, prejudice, and discrimination. NASP operates a national certification application for faculty psychologists. In addition, NASP is accepted by using the American Psychological Association and the National Board of Certified Counselors to provide persevering with education for psychologists and National Certified Counselors. This allows participants in NASP’s conference workshops and nearby workshops to apply these classes to their kingdom’s requirements for renewal of expert licenses.
